How we met:

The Company directors met in 2014, one being the contact worker and the other being the Foster Carer. The contact work for these requirements had been Commissioned through the local authority to carry out supervised contact for three siblings to see their biological parents, while court proceedings were undertaken.

Nikki Berry - Director 

A little about Nikki: I have many years’ experience in facilitating a variety of contact services, commissioned through many different local authorities’, and private clients, across the southwest and beyond.

I am able to establish professional working relationships with service users, and have excellent report writing skills.

I have worked alongside other agencies, such as Social Workers, cafcass officers and guardians, Prison’s, Hospital’s, Solicitors, Barristers, and the Police, to name a few!

I have spent many hours covering contacts in a variety of settings and have observed some really positive outcomes. I have also dealt with some very challenging situations and remain neutral and impartial throughout my work.

I started out working in the Child Care sector and I hold a B-Tec National Diploma in Childhood studies, Pediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, an enhanced DBS and more. I also have years of experience in working with young homeless people, in hostel settings, which brought many new encounters. In any space time I have, I love being with my family and walking the dogs. I’d love to say; I go to the gym regularly and love running – but I don’t!

Jane Jenkins - Director

A Little about Jane: I have many years of experience working as a Mental Health Nurse and then with young adults with Autism. I have also been a kinship/foster carer and a Sales Manager for a large corporate company.

I have worked alongside Social workers, Psychologists and Doctors. My husband and I became kinship carers in 2014, working closely with Social Workers, Family liaison Officers and Cafcass.

I have a vast amount of experience in dealing with challenging situations and behaviors, during my time in mental health nursing, working with patience’s with Autism, and as a kinship carer and as a Manager.

I am professional in building working relationships with colleagues, other professional bodies, service users and carers. I am passionate about making children’s/families lives the best we can make them, dealing always with people in a professional, empathetic way but ensuring boundaries are kept in place to make contact the best it possibly can be.

I also have excellent observations skills, Report Writing, Pediatric First Aid, Safeguarding Level 1 and 2, an enhanced DBS and more.
